By then, you would have made it to the hamlet of Maccha Khola after crossing a suspension bridge over the Budi Gandaki River.

The trek starting day is finally here, and you would not be able to help yourself from getting all excited after the scenic ride from Kathmandu. So, you will begin to hit the trail right after the nourishing breakfast. 

The first section of this day trek stops at the Thado Khola on the narrow way to Khola Besi, which twists and turns interestingly around the bank of the Budhi Gandaki River. Savor one of the best views of the mountains of the Manaslu region, whose glimpse you will get to steal while walking by the gorgeous villages to Tatopani.

Tataopani is a natural Himalayan hot spring known for its health benefits and is a great place to let your muscles relax and soothe your tired body. After spending a fulfilling time in Tatopani, you will start to cross the Budi Gandki on several hanging bridges that make their way to Dhoban.

While the Manaslu base camp is on the north side of Sama and is a steep hill climb maintaining a stable pace and continuous exertion, it is a must to trek to truly prepare yourself for the upcoming ascent.

Although at the initial phase of today’s trek, you will be walking along the pasturelands of yak above the valley with elongated mani walls. The tree line ends at Kani, which was used as a summer settlement by herders, and you will start to encounter the barren lands before you arrive at Samdo in no time from here.

Since the Tibetan border is just a regular morning walk four kilometers away from Samdo, you will be thrilled to explore the village and its viewpoint when the whole valley altogether is an excellent vantage point for Mt. When is the best time to trek the Manaslu Circuit?

There is hardly any argument that autumn and spring are the best times to trek in Nepal, including the Manaslu Circuit Trek. The autumn weather is stable and convenient for the trek, with temperatures ranging from 15 degrees Celsius to 20.

The skies at this time are usually calm and clear, offering excellent visibility of the surroundings along with the mountain view. In the same way, the spring also provides extra-ordinary, unobstructed mountain vistas and a moderate temperature.

In both seasons, the trekking trails are normally dry, and hence the post-monsoon and pre-monsoon are considered the best times to trek the Manaslu Circuit in the months of September, October, November, March, April, and May.
